POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations of the office with specific responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process all expungement filings on non-ARD expungements. This includes review of the filings, preparing for DA review and managing for court decision. Also requires notices to agencies as required by law and removal of cases from On-Base and CPCMS, if granted.
  • Process all ARD expungements. This includes managing the file though a court decision, sending notices to agencies as required by law, and removal of cases from the On-Base and CPCMS if granted.
  • Have a full understanding of the Clean Slate law that went into effect in July, 2019. Process the monthly “clean-slating” of cases and make decisions on case/count records access.
  • Be the point person for the transition to the Electronic Records Management System (ERMS) and electronic filing. The process will gain intensity over 2020 with a planned implementation date of early 2021. Interaction with the DA, PD, the Court, the Administrative Offices of the Pennsylvania Courts and the private defense bar is required. Scheduling of the training for all departments is also required.
  • Perform the daily deposit close-out process. This includes balancing all pay receipt drawers, electronic payments and bail payments, and preparing the deposit for the bank. A review to simplify the current process will also be undertaken.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CPCMS and On-Base.
  • Lead new initiatives being considered by the Clerk of Courts.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by Clerk of Courts.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Extended education with emphasis on management skills and critical thinking
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Experience in a comparable government or private sector environment.
